The hotel’s location is great because there are various eateries and shopping spots nearby. Union Square and the American Conservatory Theatre are within walking distance and you can easily access public transport nearby.
Our suite was a 2-room suite which was exceptionally clean and had a vintage-meets-modern décor to it.
The bed in the bedroom was spacious and so was the sofa bed in the living area which my daughter liked.
The bathroom was also spacious and we had amenities like toiletries, towels, etc. We were given access to children's TV networks and this kept her engaged while we unpacked and relaxed.
She also took a tour offered by the hotel which she enjoyed as well as she was awestruck by the marvelous architecture and décor of the whole hotel. We also visited the Cartoon Art Museum as it was very close to the hotel.
The buffet was a great hit with her and the restaurant at the hotel also offered various meals that she enjoyed.
The staffs were also extremely friendly and bright. One letdown was that we had to pay for Wi-Fi which was inconvenient.
The InterContinental San Francisco is a high-end hotel situated in Howard Street, one of the best luxury hotels in San Francisco for families.
It is within a walking distance of the Children’s Creativity Museum which is perfect for kids to frequent if you are visiting with family.
Other attractions, restaurants, access to public transport, etc. can be found nearby as well.
Our room had a huge bed that was large enough to fit all three of us without any inconvenience and the room itself was spacious too.
My daughter and I liked the décor mainly because of the calm tones and the blue-tinted ceiling-to-floor windows.
The windows looked great on both sunny and cloudy days and the bathroom was also large and contained toiletries, towels, etc.
One of the best features was that the whole hotel was non-smoking and it is a plus point when you travel with kids.
Our daughter loved the indoor swimming pool and spend most of her time wither swimming or watching TV in the room.
She did not particularly like the hotel food but the eateries nearby offered a lot of her favorite food so it was not a problem.
Omni San Francisco
Situated at California Street, the hotel boasts elegant and classy décor and offers a luxurious stay, arguably one of the best luxury hotels in San Francisco for families.
The Transamerica Building, Xanadu Gallery and other attractions, as well as restaurants, are available nearby.
Upon arrival, our daughter received a goody backpack under their Omni Sensational Kids Program that contained cookies, puzzles, etc. and she was delighted, to say the least.
It kept her busy throughout the trip and gave us time to relax. The room was clean and spacious and the two double beds were great.
The décor included white with warm tones and wooden furniture and the bathroom was large and included toiletries.
The TV also provided entertainment and the large windows offering a breathtaking view.
The restaurant was a tad costly for me so we mostly dined out as there were many eateries nearby in Chinatown.
Another amazing thing was that the staff were very nice to us and were always eager to help and assist us. There was, however, no free Wi-Fi.
Four Seasons Hotel
The Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco is one of the, if not the best hotels in downtown San Francisco for all travelers and especially families.
It is situated in the Financial District of the city with access to various attractions eateries and activities within a walking distance.
The presence of the Cartoon Art Museum and Lotta’s Fountain nearby offers ample entertainment for children without having to travel for a long time.
Our room came a large-sized bed and a huge ceiling-to-floor window which displayed the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge at the distance.
The room had modern décor and the bathroom was also beautiful and came with toiletries, towels, etc.
The TV had children's networks which were great for cloudy days when we stayed in and enjoyed reading or sleeping so that she had something to do.
The kids’ menus were also appreciated by her and the view itself was so stunning that she didn’t mind staying in at all.
The hotel was completely non-smoking and had free Wi-Fi in all places. The staffs were also cheerful and friendly.
The Westin St. Francis
Located by Union Square, right across the San Francisco Cable Car Stop, this hotel is situated in one of the best locations.
You can access important attractions like Union Square, San Francisco Playhouse, etc. and great dining spots, especially in Chinatown.
It is arguably one of the best luxury hotels in San Francisco for families due to its location as well as services.
Our room had two beds and a large window with the view of the city, the décor was lavish and modern with splashes of colour here and there.
The bathroom with marble detailing was also spacious and had toiletries, towels, etc.
At check-in, our daughter received a couple of goodies for her to utilize and she enjoyed coloring and playing with them on days we stayed in.
The kids’ menu of the restaurant was also a great hit and since Chinatown was so near we also enjoyed a lot of great meals there.
There was no free Wi-Fi. The staff were extremely nice and bright and helped us throughout our stay.
The Fairmont Heritage Place Ghirardelli Square
Located near Fisherman’s Wharf, The Fairmont is one of the most recognized and best luxury hotels in San Francisco for families.
The prime location has an abundance of restaurants and shopping places nearby.
Attractions like the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Museum, San Francisco Duck Tours, etc. along with access to public transport are available close by.
Our apartment came with a large bed, a sofa bed and a beautiful Bay view from the windows.
The décor was modern and there was ample space, and the bathroom was great as well and came with toiletries.
I liked the fact that we had a well-equipped kitchen because I like to feed healthy home-cooked meals to my child as eating out is rather unhealthy.
We also rented bikes to roam around the nearby attractions and my daughter watched children's movies on DVDs that we got.
We ordered room service and the ice-cream shop was also frequented by us.
A grocery store was not hard to find so I could cook up meals. We had access to Free Wi-Fi and the staff was helpful.
St. Regis San Francisco
Situated in the SOMA District, with the Cartoon Art Museum, Children’s Creativity Museum, Union Square, etc. at a walking distance from the building.
St Regis Hotel San Francisco is a luxury hotel suitable for family travelers. The area also has ample options for dining out and shopping.
Our room consisted of two beds and a warm-toned décor that was modern. The large window offered a great view of the city below and I particularly like the working desk.
The bathroom was bright, large and had a lovely bathtub which my daughter liked a lot.
She also visited the heated indoor pool a lot and mostly liked the room service food.
The spa facilities were great and the staff was cheerful and friendly. However, the Wi-Fi was not free. The infinity pool was spectacular and we also spent a lot of time as it was incredibly clean and beautiful.
This was one of the best hotels in San Francisco for me, especially due to the location.
The Ritz-Carlton San Francisco
Located in the Financial District of San Francisco, the Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco offers one of the finest luxury stays and is very well-known for its exceptional hospitality.
The San Francisco Playhouse, Union Square, etc. are close by and you can find plenty of eating and shopping spots at walking distance.
Upon arrival, our daughter was given a check-in form and a customized goodie bag, and she could also access kids channels on the TV or borrow games.
Our room consisted of two beds, a large window with a lovely view and a modern-lavish décor with cool tones.
The marble bathroom with the tub was appreciated and used a lot by my daughter for fun baths.
We loved the food of the on-site restaurants which offered great kids' meals, we had plenty of other options close by.
The staff was also extremely helpful and nice to us, but we did not have access to free Wi-Fi.
The Fairmont San Francisco
Set on a beautiful spot on Nob Hill, Fairmont is one of the most well-known and best luxury hotels in San Francisco for families.
Guests can easily access the Cable Car Museum, San Francisco Playhouse, SF Masonic Auditorium, etc. on foot and access the cable car lines.
Many eateries and shopping spots are present in the neighborhood as well.
Our room had a large and comfortable bed, a sofa bed in the living area, a large window with a view of the beautiful city and boasted a modern décor.
The bathroom was also spacious and had toiletries, towels, etc. for our use. A mini kitchen was provided and a mini-market on-site helped me to be able to cook nutritious meals for my child.
She also enjoyed the cookies and candy provided to her and watched TV a lot.
The food at the restaurants was nice and she loved baked goods from the bakery close by, and we had a lot of different foods in the places nearby.
The Wi-Fi was not free which is a bit of a letdown for me. However, the staff were sweet and helpful to us.
Situated in Fisherman’s Wharf, this hotel is a unique, eco-friendly hotel located in a beautiful location of the city with various dining, shopping and touring experiences available close by.
Tourist attractions like the Wax Museum at Fisherman’s Wharf, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Museum, San Francisco Duck Tours are also accessible on foot.
Our room had one huge bed that easily fit all three of us and offered a stunning view of the bay beyond the large window.
The décor was unique, with brick walls, white and blue furniture and other components adding to it.
My daughter received a complimentary toy upon check-in and she loved how warm and friendly the staff was.
We also enjoyed the food at the Blue Mermaid and some exceptionally fresh seafood was served.
There were bicycles available to rent which is great to explore the neighborhood. There was also free Wi-Fi provided to us in the hotel.
Located on Pacific Avenue, Hotel Drisco is one of the best luxury hotels in San Francisco for families with some spectacular views and services.
The hotel places you close to the Mrs. Doubtfire House, Full House House and other popular tourist attractions as well as various eateries and places to tour.
Our room was spacious as was the bathroom and the décor was modern with calm tones.
I particularly loved the bed as it was extremely comfortable and spacious and amenities such as toiletries, towels, etc. were provided.
Our daughter enjoyed watching movies on the TV and borrowed puzzles and games, and she was so amazed at the fact that we received complimentary cookies for her to enjoy.
We loved the food, it was possibly some of the best food we ever got in a hotel and my daughter especially enjoyed the kids’ menu and we ate in a lot more than we ate out.
Free Wi-Fi and Free Parking were available for our use and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful to us.
